We are the Augusta Marriott at the Convention Center located in downtown Augusta, Georgia. We have an award winning Italian restaurant called Augustino's. We are seeking a dynamic team leader for our 3 meal restaurant, bar and in-room dining. This person will work 5 day shifts from 5:45am-3pm or 3-11pm on a weekly basis with occasionally taking a mid-shift. The person will be the floor manager in charge on their shift.  The position reports to the Restaurant Manager.  We are open 24/7/365 so the Supervisor must be able to work weekends and holidays as well. Overview:

As a Restaurant Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of our restaurant while delivering exceptional guest experiences. You will oversee daily operations, manage staff, and uphold quality standards to maintain the restaurant's reputation for excellence. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, exceptional customer service abilities, and a passion for the hospitality industry.

Responsibilities:

  1. Team Leadership:
    • Lead and motivate restaurant staff to provide excellent customer service.
    • Assign duties to ensure efficient operation.
    • Conduct regular staff meetings to communicate goals, policies, and procedures.
    • Provide training and guidance to new hires and ongoing coaching to existing team members.
  2. Guest Satisfaction:
    • Monitor guest feedback and address any issues or concerns promptly.
    • Ensure that guests receive prompt and courteous service at all times.
    • Maintain a welcoming atmosphere and handle guest inquiries or complaints professionally.
    • Implement strategies to enhance the overall guest experience and satisfaction.
  3. Operational Management:
    • Oversee daily operations, including opening and closing procedures.
    • Monitor inventory levels and place orders for supplies as needed.
    • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and sanitation standards.
    • Conduct regular inspections of the dining area, kitchen, and restrooms to maintain cleanliness and organization.
  4. Performance Management:
    • Recognize and reward outstanding performance and address any performance issues or disciplinary matters.
    • Foster a positive work environment that promotes teamwork and collaboration.
  5. Financial Management:
    • Monitor sales and expenses to ensure profitability.
    • Implement cost-control measures to optimize efficiency and minimize waste.
    • Prepare and analyze financial reports, including revenue projections and budget forecasts.
The ideal candidate will have:
  • Previous experience in a supervisory role within the hospitality industry
  • High school diploma 
  • Knowledge of restaurant operations, including food and beverage service, sanitation, and safety protocols.
  • Proven leadership skills (team building, coaching, scheduling)
  • Computer skills (micros, learning systems, email, etc.)
  • Must have wine and liquor knowledge
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to solve problems and deal with guest issues successfully

    Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Work in a crowded and noisy environment

Compensation: $17.00 - $17.00 per hour
